Interesting tale of the Lonely German Grave.   Book  traces the short life of  Thilo von Trotha second Lieutenant , a young German officer who met his death at the hands of Christopher Lambert of the Bondelswart people during a skirmish in the canyon. German-Nama conflict 1800s - Von Trotha negotiated for peace, while thirty cavaliers under command of Lieutenant von Rosenthal entered the canyon to recover stolen cattle from their German post its in this skirmish that one of the Bondel swart gunmen shot Von Troth from behind.
