Hardcover published 1910 by James H. Stark, no jacket. The boards are edge-worn and bumped in places, with some signs of liquid spill along the edges, that has caused the dye of the boards to run a bit, also onto the end-papers. The spine is lightly sunned. Internally, there is a pen name of a previous owner on the first end-paper, and a series of pen notes at the section dealing with the biographies of the Loyalists. Apart from this, and a few patches of dye stain as mentioned, the pages are clean and unmarked. All illustrative plates are present and well bound. The fold-out "Plan of Boston in New England" at the rear of the book is present and intact.
