THE MAGUS by John Fowles.   Fowles, who also wrote French Lieutenant's Woman, is regarded as one of the 20th Century's greatest authors.  The Magus, in a list commisioned by Random House, was placed ninety-third in a list of the top one hundred best english novels of the 20th Century.

Added to this Playboy Magazine names The Magus one of the 25 sexiest novels ever written.

The plot is about an Englishman who takes a job at a private school on a Greek island. A local millionaire stages elaborate, almost hallucinogenic mind games.

Internally -  there are no inscriptions. The pages are crisp and clean. Binding vg. There are tape residue on the front and back end papers - see photo. Slight soiling of pg ends. Other than the tape residue - vg.  The cover boards are in vg condition, some slight bumping on the corners and spine ends. No dj.
