Book 1: City of Bones

Clary is drawn farther into the terrible realm of werewolves, demons, and the enigmatic Shadowhunters in New York with her mother in a coma and her father hell-bent on destroying the world. After learning the truth about her past, Clary now has to stop her own father, the evil Shadowhunter Valentine, from destroying the world. Valentine is building a demon army to wage war on the Shadowhunters council and finally wipe them out with the help of two of the Mortal Instruments at his disposal. As the fight gets underway, Clary has to confront her worst fears and accept her affections for a boy who she wishes wasn't her brother.
Book 3: City of Glass
