The first edition of this work, a scarce copy. A biographical study of famous and influential Persian polymath Omar Khayyam, notable for his contributions to mathematics, astronomy, philosophy, and poetry. His tradition of poetry written in the form of quatrains is widely known to the English-reading world in a translation by Edward Fitzgerald. This volume was written by Swami Govinda Tirtha, and features the Persian text of the Rubaiyat with an English translation. Quatrains in Arabic and English.
