Nelson Mandela Bridge is a bridge in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is the fourth of five bridges which cross the railway lines and sidings located just west of Johannesburg Park Station, the first being the Johan Rissik Bridge adjacent to the station. It was completed in 2003, and cost R38 million to build. "The Nelson Mandela Bridge (NMB) is one of South Africas monumental emblems of urban transformation that stands out in the inner city of Johannesburg since the disappearance of administrative and occupational apartheid (Sihlongonyane 2021). It is at the heart of the citys urban regeneration programme that is intended to attract investors, tourists and ordinary people as one of its boosterish urban strategies.
