Published by the Cambridge University Press,  1957-1970. Hardcover volumes without DJs, gilt lettering to spines, top edges stained dark blue.

A truly comprehensive history of the Western world from the Reformation to the end of WWII. With atlas (vol. 14).

Please note that this set does not include the 'Companion Volume' which is vol. 13. 

Condition: Overall very good, but please note the following: each volume has previous owner's signature to front endpaper. Tape stains to endpapers of vols. 8 & 9. Small bumps to front board of vol. 11. Light splitting to gutter between front flyleaf and half title page of vol. 12. Minor and slight stains to top edges of textblocks of a couple of volumes. 

Texts throughout are clean and clear. Maps are bright. Overall solidly bound, even vol. 12 with its split is still well bound.
