Nyaminyami is the ancestral spirit or of the BaTonga people in the middle Zambezi Valley. The Tonga inhabited both banks of the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe and Zambia for centuries. The Nyaminyami is described as having the body of a snake and the head of a fish. It has a Ball in the cage. The walking stick itself is carved from the wood of a Syringa Tree . Sculptured in the style of the renowned: Rainos M Tawonameso
