The Old Jar Pottery Plate

This plate was hand thrown and decorated by South African Studio Art Pottery The Old Jar Pottery which existed in Benoni and was in operation from 1953 till 1984. Their characteristic and unique decoration of hand thrown pieces encapsulated a green colour along with white used primarily as the predominant colours and then additional patterns added. Since the studios closure in 1984, their art pottery has gained recognition and has become widely collectable due to its rarity. Marked at the bottom of the vase with the words RSA and the number 32. Other Old Jar Pottery Pieces listed separately.  This plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or previous repair.
