A very nice copy of this great classic novella.

Hemingway wrote the draft in eight weeks, saying that it was "the best I can write ever for all of my life". Published in September 1952, The Old Man and the Sea became a book-of-the-month selection, made Hemingway an international celebrity, and won the Pulitzer Prize  in May 1953.

In October 1954, Hemingway received the Nobel Prize in Literature.
