Louise Repsold - A Short Biography

Born in Zambia in 1948, and presently resides in Pretoria , South Africa. Louise is mainly self-taught and works in oils, her art depicting her love of typical South African landscapes. She has participated in many group exhibitions around South Africa and was a member of ‘Artists under the Sun’ in Johannesburg for over 25 years, as well as ‘Art in the Park’ in Pietermaritzburg for 26 years. Since 2005 she has been working from home, and supplying various art galleries.

Art collectors from England, Germany, the United States, Japan, Thailand and Australia have acquired Louise’s works over many years, and she is also listed in The Directory of South African Painters and Sculptors.*
