26 February 08 in the Barnyard Broadacres Johannesburg. Show is sold out.

On home ground, The Parlotones have had a tremendous year:

  • The genius of the band was recognised locally earlier in the year when their debut full-length album, Radiocontrolledrobot, won the 2006 Best Rock Album SAMA.
  • The Parlotones performed alongside international rock greats at the Coca Cola Massive Mix concerts. The organisers asked The Parlotones to close the show after Metallica, and being up for all challenges, the band agreed. Not only did they get to share the stage with the likes of Collective Soul, Simple Plan and Metallica, but they also gained a massive Kudos in the music industry for having the guts to step up and close the show after the mammoth Metallica performance. They were asked to perform again during the 2006 concert, a rare honour as no band is booked twice in a row to avoid repetition.
  • The Parlotones were given the opportunity to open for super group Live on their Black Mountain White Light tour to SA in October, where they played to packed out stadiums in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.
  • The band’s single ‘Overexposed’ was used as the theme song for FHM World’s Hottest Woman short film
