The paper jacket is worn and torn in places, with several large chips missing from the edges, and a lenghty tear on the front repaired with tape. The brown boards with gilt titling are clean and square. Name of previous owner to first half-title page. Apart from some tanning and foxing to the initial and last few pages, the pages are clean and unmarked. Loosely inserted is the original Adams & Co. invoice for purchase of the book.
