G.J. Warnock (19231995) was a British philosopher whose work in the philosophy of perception is primarily associated with his book Berkeley (1953) and his contributions to ordinary language philosophy. His approach to perception is heavily influenced by George Berkeleys idealism and J.L. Austins emphasis on linguistic analysis. Warnocks philosophy of perception centers on analyzing how we talk about perception and critiquing traditional theories like sense-datum theory.
