Hard cover, 293 pages, published in 1977 by Zed Press, London.
In 1978 the book was banned by the then Publication Board in South Africa. On the front end page is a stamp to that effect , signed and dated by the former Director of Publications.
The book is in good condition. On some pages are pencil markings presumably by the people of the Publication Board.
A history of western economic power which covers the growth of capitalism from the mediaeval mercantile system through the industrial revolution to the present hegemony of finance capital.
