This edition published by The History Book Club in 1972 with 465 pages and b/w photographs and illustrations.  Foldout map between pages 458 and 459 in very good condition.The d/j is frayed along the top edges. General Gordon was killed at Khartoum in 1885. One of his lieutenants survived and this is the story of the rescue of Emin Pasha by the Relief Expedition of Henry M. Stanley (1887 - 1889). No shipping overseas.
