Overdue for a home posting, a British Imperial battalion - the 1/24th - is taken to Natal to spearhead an invasion of Zululand.
Less than two weeks later, on 22nd January 1879 - more than 400 of its officers and men lie dead on the battlefield at Isandlwana.
