This beautiful memorial to another age has never before been published.
To illustrate the four seasons of the year Louis Lawrence chose and wrote out in decorative script short extracts of poetry and prose by writers such as Longfellow, Southey, Scott, Tennyson and Wordsworth. He decorated each page with his own delicate drawings and watercolours.
The book was compiled in the 1880s and all the charm and skill of the original have been captured in its reproduction here.
Condition: The book itself in in Excellent Condition, all pages and binding intact, no loose pages.
The Dustjacket has had been trimmed slightly as it had been previously damaged.
The printing and binding is exceptional, no marks or inscriptions in the book, a very clean copy.
