' Many British servicemen and women who failed to return from the war against Nazi Germany would have remained 'missing in action' if officialdom had had its way. SAS troops illegally shot as saboteurs under Hitler's Commando Order and SOE agents murdered in concentration camps were to be forgotten in the euphoria that followed VE Day.

But when the SAS and SOE were disbanded after the war there were those who felt their job was incomplete, that they owed something to the men and women who had lost their lives behind enemy lines. They were determined to discover the truth about their missing comrades and bring to justice those responsible for crimes.

Making use of the first official report on the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps - written as early as December 1944 but suppressed by Allied headquarters - The Secret Hunters set out to establish the fates of the missing men and women. In the face of official indifference, for three years they continued their relentless search, uncovering evidence of Nazi atrocities and tracking down the men who had obeyed orders to pull triggers and open the doors of the gas chambers and furnaces......'

Internally - no inscriptions, clean and crisp. There is light foxing on the inside of the cloth covers and some very light, very scattered foxing internally - does not detract. Some light dust soiling of the top page edges. (please note the photo depicting the page with photos - my photographic process created the browning of the white areas)

Dust jacket, un-clipped, in vg condition - their is some fading, particularly on the back, and light rubbing of the edges. Very light crinkling on the back cover. Overall a VG copy.
