The Sheltering Desert (Henno Martin)

The SWA Scientific Society, Windhoek, 1974. Cloth & Board. Book Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good with small nicks and shelfwear.. Second English Edition. Gift inscription. Endpaper maps. 234pp of text with 33 illustrations from the original photographs by Hermann Korn and the author. Some fading to spine.

The experiences described in this book are marked with the timelessness of the Namib Desert itself, in which two young German geologists, Henno Martin and Hermann Korn sought refuge when the European war threatened to engulf the world.
