Usually scorned, this is a nice Hifra 4421 Aerometric filler fountain pen in good working condition and deserving of a place in any South African's pen collection!

 Hifra pens were very popular with South African school kids in the 1960's and 70's,and were more than likely re-branded Japanese Platinum pens - a good article can be found on the Crónicas Estilográficas blog, here. This pen has the Platinum logo on the cap jewel and the altered logo stamped on the barrel, which also has a "jewel".
