Usually scorned, this nice Hifra 4427 Aerometric filler fountain pen is in working condition with only minor marks, and deserving of a place in any South African's pen collection!

But Hifra pens were very popular with South African school kids in the 1960's and 70's,and were more than likely re-branded Japanese Platinum pens - a good article can be found on the Crónicas Estilográficas blog, here. This pen has the Platinum logo on the cap jewel and the altered logo stamped on the barrel.
