You are bidding on a beautiful set of sterling (.925) silver replicas (medallions) of British Stamps from the Reign of Queen Victoria to the present Queen Elizabeth II. The total weight of the set of twenty-five pieces, issued in 1977, is 462 grams.
The obverse of each piece displays a replica image of the stamp, whilst the reverse features the number of the medallion, a hallmark, and Elizabeth the Second's Royal Cypher over the legend 'The Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II'.
The stunning set comes in a presentation wooden box. The lid show some slight age marks and the small wooden lifter is missing. The key is present. There are two types of these sets - this is the one where the medallions are gilded, presumably in gold.
