Hardcover leatherbound edition published 1906 by Praagh & Lloyd, with damage to the top right corners of the boards and gilt-edged pages, as per photograph. Two ownership stamps to front endpapers. There is also liquid damage to many of the pages in the approximate last third of the book, (containing chapters "The Witwatersrand Gold Mines", "Outlying Mining Districts", "Diamonds in the Transvaal", "The Base Metals and Minerals of the Transvaal", "The Coal-mining Industry of the Transvaal", and the final section entitled "Lourenço Marques", comprising various short chapters. This has resulted in some of these affected pages being stuck together, and having short tears to bottom edges and internally. Several have been damaged at some point in attempts to separate them. The fold-out panoramic view of Pietersburg is detached, and for instance, the panoramic view of Ermelo is one of those pages that is damaged, a portion being torn off (but present still), with the last fold being partially stuck to the previous fold.
