The turn of the Tide 1939-1943 is a study based on the Diaries and Autobiographical Notes of Field Marshall The Viscount Alanbrooke. Lord Alanbrooke was a master-strategist of World War II. He kept a daily diary on his thoughts and feelings during the War. From this material, the author, Bryant, gave us a narrative which enriched both history and literature.
