The Ultimate in Alternative/Emergency Power Supply
Introduction:
This EPS is an inverter/charger/power supply all-in-one unit. It consists of an inverter charger and rechargeable battery and is assembled on a trolley with adjustable waist-high handle. You can use it to power most of your electrical appliances at home in normal time or in case of a blackout. In addition, you can use it as a charger to re-charge other 12V sealed lead acid batteries.
Features:
12V DC to 230V AC Modified Sine Wave Output
Charger Function
Continuous Power up to 2,000 Watts
Overload Protection
Dual AC Outlets for running multiple electrical appliances
Installed with maintenance free sealed lead acid battery
Accessories:
Instruction Manual
DC Jumper
Charger AC Input Plug
Operation:
The EPS is already connected to a 12V Sealed Lead Acid battery when it leaves the factory. Make sure the EPS is switched off before connecting to AC wall socket (via the AC input socket at the side panel). Use the AC power cord provided in the package. Please remember to switch on the EPS off before connecting on the electrical appliances. Plug the electrical appliance into the AC output socket (on the side panel) and switch the EPS on. The appliance connected to the EPS will now work. When the EPS is connected to the AC wall socket, it is an AC source to power the electrical appliances connected. At the same time, the battery is being recharged. Once the AC source is cut off, the battery powers the electrical appliances connected and the battery is discharged. You are advised not to keep recharging the battery continuously when the battery is at full or 80% capacity. Overcharging will make the battery damaged.
Battery Capacity:
When the EPS is connected to an AC wall socket, it will automatically recharge.
a)Low battery voltage: The normal operating voltage of the battery is 12V. Should the battery voltage (supplying DC current to the inverter), drop below 10.5V, A beep alarm will sound. You are advised to either plug the EPS into an AC wall socket again or immediately shut down the AC out operation. Otherwise the battery will be damaged. If the battery voltage drops further below 9.5V, the AC out operation will be shut down automatically to protect the battery.
b)If the battery voltage exceeds 15.5V, the charger will shut down automatically to protect the inverter.
c)When the internal temperature reaches 65⁰C, the product will shut down operation automatically. The fan inside the product will activate automatically. Once it has cooled down, it will restart operation automatically.
d)Over load: The EPS will shut down automatically when it is overloaded. One of the appliances need to be unplugged in order to reduce the output load. Once the output load is below the max load the EPS can undertake, the machine will activate again automatically.
e)Usually, the battery voltage is in the range of 1o.5V and 14.6V. The optimal voltage is 12V.
Most of the electrical appliances have a rating label or instruction manual to indicate the power consumption in amps or watts. As a simple guideline, AC voltage X amps=wattage, you can check if the electrical appliance can be powered by the EPS. For example; an electrical appliance is rated AC 230V 0.9Amps. Then its wattage is 207Watts. Thus, the EPS (2000Watts) can power it.
Keep total load below the maximum wattage that the EPS can handle.
Some electrical tools, appliances which have induction motors, i.e. electrical drills, refrigerators, CRT TV, etc, require 3 to 7 times of their rated power to start up.
Please make sure the power rating of the EPS exceeds the power rating of the electrical appliances for that calculation.
For some electrical appliances, i.e. laser printer, plasma TV or big size LCD TV. Their start up power consumption is very high, usually exceed 7 times of their normal power rate. You are advised not to use the EPS to power those.
For personal computers, sometimes you have to restart it in case of blackout even if it is already connected to the EPS. You are always advised to save the files frequently to prevent losing it.
With this inverter you wont have to worry about power outages or blackouts!
Some of the popular electrical appliances that the EPS is able to power:
Radio, DVD Player, Laptop, TV, PC, Lights, Drill ETC
The battery operating time will vary depending on the battery charge level and the specific appliances that is powered
Longer operation time is possible if the EPS is connected to an external battery via connection caps. Please make sure the external battery is 12V DC
Maintenance:
Very little maintenance is required to keep your EPS working properly. You are advised to clean the exterior of the product periodically with a dry cloth to prevent dust build-up.
