Amalgamated Press, 1940's, hardcovers, bound in full, gilt-blocked buckram with blind beveled borders. Remain particularly well-preserved overall: 10 volumes : illustrations, maps ;  each volume 22.5 cms x 29 cms, set is 41.8 cms in length, edited by J.A. Hammerton.

This set contains a collection of newspapers issued fortnightly, which have been serialised and collated into ten volumes of books. 'The War Illustrated' showcases the media prints during the Second World War.
