This set is undated but general consensus in the book world puts them at around 1900.

Published by Caxton Publishing Company. The Melrose Edition.

The books are all in good condition with all page edges gilt. The spines are all leather bound with buckram boards. Gilt titling on spine. Some spine tops show a bit of shelf wear and there is some foxing present. All volumes have an illustrated frontispiece. There are 4 volumes missing from the set but there are two additional volumes "The Life of Scott" - a biography by JG Lockhart - uniform with this set as volumes 26 & 27.
