Hardcover with dustjacket - jacket is tatty and is torn in two over the spine.
There is a signature by a Sonnenberg on the ffep but I cannot tell whether it is the author or a family member's signature. I would presume a family member as I think he died before the book was published.
Author came to South Africa in the 1890's, widely travelled in Rhodesia he knew many of the important figures of the time. One of the early Jewish immigrants that shaped the economic fabric of South Africa he founded Woolworths here.
