Prof. Andriola is an American, who was a Senior Lecturer in Social Sciences at the University of Cape Town. He was always controversial and perhaps even contentious (in writing this book, for instance). It is bound to raise the blood pressure of South Africans living in 2015!! The author regards himself as a liberal with a long association with the left wing of the Democratic Party in the USA. One may not agree with everything he writes and will probably disagree with many of his views, but it makes interesting reading, forty years later!
