In the Camargue region of southern France, where the river Rhône meets the sea, herds of wild horses and black bulls roam the marshes and unfenced pastures. It seemed impossible that Folco, a poor fishermans son, should realize his dream of owning this magnificent Camargue stallion, yet he dared hope and secretly allied himself with the wild horse against ruthless would-be captors. Illustrated by Jean Reschofsky and translated by Gwen Marsh. Black and white line drawings and full-page watercolour illustrations.
Copy in good condition. Binding square and tight. Edgewear and tearing on dust jacket which is covered in a cellophane wrapper. Hand written inscriptions on last blank page. Otherwise internally clean and unmarked.
