Boards intact, no edge-wear, corners sharp; Author name, title, publisher and logo clear, sharp and intact in gilt lettering on spine. Tiny dark stain to lower edge of text block. Endpapers and half-title age-toned and lightly foxed. Sticker ghost on the free front endpaper. Text block itself clean, pristine: no foxing, no stains, no inscriptions, no highlighting or underlining, no annotations or marginalia. Photographic plates complete and intact. Binding secure; no loose or missing pages, no tears.

Jacket: Spine sunned and faintly foxed; lightly scuffed at the heel; head of jacket spine more heavily scuffed and chipped, with 30mm tear along hinge of spine; small crease along top edge of front panel; a 10mm closed tear into top edge of front- and rear panels, each;  corner of front flap folded; light scuffing and rubbing to the flap-hinges at the edges. Inside of jacket foxed. Unclipped.
