Includes the usual facsimile letter from Byron to Galignani denying authorship of Polidori's "Vampire.", dated 1819.
xliii, 716 pages printed in double columns, frontispiece engraved portrait of Byron plus the said letter.
Title page has a later book plate of A.G.Biemond pasted in.
Bound in simple marbled boards with some damage to front and back covers. Spine damaged. Some foxing to frontispiece, the title page and some foxing throughout body of text.

Condition: Would make an excellent reference copy for a Byron scholar or for rebinding.
