After the death of her parents and having inherited the family fortune, she embarked on her travels of the world, to such places as Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Middle East, Europe, Russia, South America, and the Antarctic.

She also founded an artists' workshop at her home in Umhlanga Rocks after selling her flat in London and moving back to South Africa.
