After S.W. Twine (after J. Knobel).

Hand-painted map on hand-made paper. 207mm x 150mm. mounted.

The artist used prepared outlines of the map which were then printed onto the paper. She then coloured in attractively with water-colours. Artwork very nicely executed in period style.

Shows small area of damage at top left. not quite straight on card, sold as-is. Will still frame well and look attractive.

Shows the approximate location of the 1820 Settler parties. This is the area bounded on the west and east by the Bushman's and Great Fish rivers and from the coast (Port Frances, now Port Alfred) to Grahamstown inland including Bathurst.
