Here on auction we have a rarer and not often seen thin type patt 70/73 olive green canvas SADF era R4/ R5 weapon sling - unused mint and new condition. See comparison pic for side-by-side compare to the std type. This one also much more supple (thinner more comfortable canvas) for use and carry.

Its possible (unconfirmed) that this type was made for use with the 40mm MGL launcher and the other platoon weapons for ease of carry.

Can also be used for a std hunting rifle of even an AR15 type or Ak47 assualt rifle ...................
