J M Wallis - After Gainsborough

This painting is entitled: J M Wallis, After Gainsborough. I can't make out the date? It is large & measures 67,5cm/95cm. Both the frame & painting have significant areas of damage (please refer to the above pictures), the problem with the painting is mostly water damage from behind, which has made the paint peel in places. In spite of these problems, the painting & its old frame is very attractive!
