Hendrik Verwoerd was a South African journalist, politician, prime minister and the architect of Apartheid.

This book is an illustrated hagiography, that is an adulatory and idealized biography of Verwoerd. It reflected the deep emotion and outpouring of grief felt by the white Afrikaner community (not all) towards Verwoerd after his assassination in parliament the previous year.
