THOMAS WHITE 1872-1891 !! Antique Silver Plated Entree/Vegetable Dish with Lid and Detachable Handle

THOMAS WHITE,SHEFFIELD ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED ENTREE/VEGETABLE DISH WITH LID AND DETACHABLE HANDLE

A remarkable and BEAUTIFUL antique item which although MORE than 100 years Old has been METICULOUSLY taken care of and remains an appealing item of extreme exquisite and intrinsic attraction.

Manufactured by THOMAS WHITE, SHEFFIELD, a company active at 21 Westfield Terrace, Sheffield from 1872 until 1891, the item is stamped underneath -- "TW" then a squirrel and a Triangle , all inside squares   Numbered - "2482"

This Gorgeous Entree/Vegetable Dish has a Classical ART DECO style ribbed pattern along the extended rim as well as in an oval pattern on top of the Lid. The same pattern encircles a Raised Leaf Pattern on the detachable Handle base while the handle itself is a lovely Art Deco scroll design with Ball Pattern on top.      With a 90 degree turn to the left, the handle detaches in order for the Lid to then be utilized as a second entree/vegetable dish if the need arises.

The item as well as its Lid and Handle have only faint patina which is easily polished, otherwise they are ALL in PERFECT condition with NO rust, dents, stains, damages or breakages
