Three 24 Carat Gold Gilded Greek God Artemis and Apollo Wall Plates

ON AUCTION ARE THREE GREEK WALL PLATES DISPLAYING MYTHICAL GOD FIGURES FROM THEIR PAST. ALL ARE BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED WITH 24 CARAT GOLD GILDING.
 
The large plate and one of the smaller plates depicts the ancient Greek goddess Artemis. In ancient Greek religion and mythology, Artemis is the goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals, nature, vegetation, childbirth, care of children, and chastity.
 
The other small plate depicts Apollo an Artemis. In ancient Greek mythology Apollo was the god of music, healing, light, and prophecy (predicting the future). He was one of the 12 main gods believed to live on Mount Olympus. He also came to be considered a sun god.
