A tie bar is a decorative metal clip used to hold a tie in place against the shirt. The use of tie clips gained prominence during the 1920s, during which period the use of straight ties made of delicate materials such as silk became more fashionable, and they largely came to replace the more traditional tie pin. Tie clips are commonly made of metal and often have decorative patterns or embellishments.
The Boeing 707 is a historic American narrow-body, four-engine jet airliner that was first introduced in 1958. It played a significant role in the early jet age and became a popular choice for both passenger and military transport. The 707 was the dominant jetliner in the 1960s and 70s, used by major airlines around the world. Although its commercial service has largely ended, the 707 remains in use for military purposes.
Ocean liners played a crucial role in transportation before air travel became dominant. They facilitated mass migration between continents, particularly during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Many liners were converted into troop ships during wartime.
