Three Silver Sporting / Prize Medals (1895, 1919 and 1924)

The first medal is inscribed with the date 1895 (it carries a sterling silver hallmark for Birmingham 1893) and weighs a hefty 13.2 grams.

The second medal is the size of a half crown but heavier at 20.2 grams. It was issued by Rokeby Athletic Sports and awarded in 1924 for first place in the 100 Yards open.

(I found only one similar medal on the internet on a 2005 auction by Dix Noonan & Webb described as follows :- "Rokeby Athletic Sports, a silver award medal, unsigned, naked discus thrower, rev. engraved (High Jump, Open, 1st, 1936), 32mm. Extremely fine; in fitted case of issue by F. Phillips and A. Bolt & Co, Wimbledon")

The third medal weighs 13.1 grams (florin sized) and was awarded in 1919 to TR Middleton for boxing by the South African National Amateur Boxing Association.

You are bidding on all three medals as one lot. Please see following pictures ...
