THREE VIOLET ALEXANDRITE SHOT GLASSES

ON AUCTION ARE THREE ALEXANDRITE SHOT GLASSES. TWO ARE A LITTLE HIGHER THAN THE THIRD. ALL OCTONAL (8) SIDE FACETTED IN SHAPE.
 
ALEXANDRITE OR NEODYMIUM GLASS:
Alexandrite / neodymium glass are made with a substance Neodymium oxide (Nd²O³)  added to the glass that absorbs the yellow light. In daylight or normal lighting the object is lilac/pink, in cold light (e.g. fluorescent tubes and the like) the object is a shade of violet to light blue. Glassware containing Neodymium was produced in several countries, including Scandinavia, Italy, and the Czech Republic. The shades of lilac, pink and blue can vary greatly depending on the glass mixture.
