Hardcover October 1947 reprint, published by the Macmillan Company, no jacket. The boards are clean and square, but lightly edge-worn in places. The name and initials of a previous owner are written in pen on the inside front board, and again in pencil on the reverse of the frontispiece portrait. Apart from a minor crease to the top middle of the roughly last third of the pages and photographic plates, the pages are clean and unmarked. Inscribed by one of the brothers Kolb on behalf of both, on the first end-paper.
