Time Switch 8 to 8192 Seconds (2.3 hours) 12 VDC. This is a long duration monostable timer kit. The 555 timer IC is used as an astable oscillator that is set to 1Hz (1 cycle per second). The 555 output drives a 4020 IC that is a 14-stage binary ripple counter. Eleven of the counter’s outputs are jumper selectable for periods between 8 and 8192 seconds. One of the following timing periods can be used: 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096 or 8192 seconds. Once the circuit is powered the timing period starts. After one timing period has finished the relay output changes state and the timer stops. The output relay can be set to be either on or off during the timing period. The timer is reset by switching it off and on again, that is the same as disconnecting the power supply and powering it again when required.
