Times Tables 3.0

We believe that children should know their multiplication tables very well before they proceed to division, fractions and other mathematical operations. Our Times Tables software will help them to master the multiplication tables in a relatively short time – helping them to answer questions without hesitating at all.

Parents always have full control over their progress because the program generates a report that indicates the results of each practice session.

The program is ideal for a school environment as each child can enter his/her name to be printed on the report - ideal for homework!

The exercises offer a choice of any of the basic times tables, that is, from 2 times to 12 times. It also offers division as part of the setup. The questions appear in random order. When a kid makes a mistake the program will show the correct answer next to the incorrectly answered one and and then it will focus on those "problem" tables (on the following pages) until they are all answered correctly. The report itself is only generated after all questions have been answered correctly. The time taken to answer all the questions is also recorded and shown on the report. At the end the child gets a score, based on the time taken and the number of correctly answered questions.

Times Tables runs on Windows and  Linux. It can run on any platform for which a Java Runtime Environment is available. Not tested on Mac OS but should also run on a Mac machine.
