A superb, genuine TIN tea caddy from the late Victorian or Edwardian era. This octagonal vessel features rare and highly detailed lithographed panels depicting "Oriental Bowmen" in a traditional landscape.
Unlike later reproductions, this antique piece displays the refined Chinoiserie aesthetic of the late 19th-century UK. The small, concentrated opening is characteristic of early tea storage designed to preserve the aromatic quality of loose-leaf tea. This is a significant find for a serious collector of British advertising or antique tin-ware.
