DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTIONA lovely Tinus de Jongh etching of Sevenweeks Poort near Ladismith, Cape. The artist has titled the etching at bottom left and signed it at bottom right in pencil. The etching is mounted on a double mount and framed in the original thin wooden black frame and protected by glass. The complete framed artwork measures 46 x 51 cm and the etching alone measures 23 x 27 cm. You can see the item as sold in the image above and there are 4 more images with detail which follow. If interested, please have a good look at the images and descriptions and ask a question if there is anything you are unsure about.
CONDITIONThis artwork is in very good condition and can be hung and displayed as it is. The frame is original and the outer mounting board has recently been replaced.
NOTES
Beautiful artwork done by one of the greatest South African masters. A number of these etchings of South African scenes were produced by Tinus de Jongh and they are extremely popular and collectable. This is also a prime investment item.
