The Display Unit : This sits on your dashboard. It features a solar panel on top to keep it charged, though most models also have a micro-USB port for backup charging. It displays the PSI/Bar and temperature for all four tires.
External Sensors These four caps replace your existing tire valve caps. They are labeled for specific positions to ensure the display matches the correct tire:
>FL: Front Left
>FR: Front Right
>RL: Rear Left
>RR: Rear Right
Anti-Theft Nuts & Wrench: The brass-colored hex nuts are "jam nuts." You screw them onto the valve stem first, then the sensor, and then use the included small wrench to tighten the nut backwards against the sensor. This prevents people from simply unscrewing your sensors by hand.
Key Features
Alarms: As seen on the box, it will beep or flash if it detects an air leak, low/high pressure, or high temperatures (which can indicate a sticking brake caliper or bearing failure).
DIY Friendly: Since these are external sensors, you don't need to unmount the tires to install them.
Auto-Wake: Most of these units have a G-sensor; they "sleep" when the car is parked and wake up automatically when they feel the vibration of the door opening or the engine starting.
