HMB (beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate) is naturally occurring in your body and is derived from your body breaking down leucine. HMB is required in muscle repair and protein synthesis. Because it's only created in small amounts from dietary sources, many athletes have chosen to supplement with pure HMB.
Research indicates a noticeable benefit in increased exercise performance, reduced muscle breakdown and increased muscle growth.
BETAINE (trimethylglycine) is made from the amino acid glycine with 3 amino groups attached.
